Ok....I have to ask....how exactly is "Wilders" pronounced? Is the first syllable the same as in "Wilderness" or is it pronounced like "Wild"...(as in Jokers are wild.)

    Yes, I'm bored.    :D

Ya' know, I never really thought about it. I just figured that since the place represents such a rough, tough group of virus fighting, worm squishing, spyware destroying guys and gals, it would have to be pronounced with a long 'i' (as in wild-and-wooly!).

Good point, though - we'll have to get Paul to confirm tomorrow! Pete

The real pronounce for "Wilders" is not really hard to defined...In fact it comes from Latin word Wil-dis-ero which means...... Nemam-žive-veze !!!

    Yes I'm bored too  :D

But please, for us curious people - what's the correct pronunciation? Or if there isn't a truly "correct" pronunciation, then what is the most often used (discounting, of course, telemarketers and the like - who seem to frequently butcher names  ;))?

    We would say Wilders,
    with the W from With
the i from with or will
    the l from will
    the d from door
    the e like in the
the r you hear but not loud
and the s in the end not too long like ssssssss but just s
    so [WIL-ders]
But that is wilt a dutch pronounciation.
If you're ready with that one, ready for my first name?

    Quite so, Jooske.

Nativee English speakers do pronounce it like "wilder" (like in Billy Wilder") - just and an "s". Some others refuse the pronounce it - no matter what way  :D

    regards.
