how do you add a bookmark to Firefox's toolbar?

    go to bookmarks and leftclick
    choose bookmark this page and leftclick
    click on the arrow to unfold
    choose the second option
    click ok and that is it

    thanks, but it doesn't work. it's probably something i've done somewhere.

    Open Bookmarks and click on "manage Bookmarks".
    Inside the window, you can move or add any links. You can even drag shortcuts into your open window and move them wherever desired.

    Open the "Bookmarks Toolbar folder" by clicking the +sign alongside the title.
    Now, anything you see inside this folder should be displayed on the toolbar. or, If nothing is displayed, then you need to add/move links into the open area. Look again at my illustration under item 7. There you will see the same contents inside Bookmarks Manager as shown on my Bookmarks Toolbar.
