Try holding down the function key (Fn) whilst pressing the arrow up key.

If this doesn't work... see if there is a key with a sun symbol there (like a circle with lines radiating outward from it) and try holding down the Fn key whilst pressing that one.

If these don't work you would need to check the model number of your laptop and try a search for how this function is controlled on your particular machine.

If you have an Fn key then it should be marked as such... so if you don't see one then it is probable that your model of laptop does not have one.

In which case... you may now have to obtain the make and model of your machine and then it should be possible to search for information on how to adjust the brightness.

This was very much a shot in the dark (pardon the pun... not intended) regarding the Fn key which is often provided on laptops to do extra functions using the other keys.

Always tricky to provide a definate answer when actual models are not known.

    Hope this helps.

    cheater,
No data is mentioned about your laptop : no brand, no model, nothing.
So no research possible to solve your problem.
How do you expect any help ?
