I have created a backup image of my hard drive and had “True Image” save the backup in the “Secure Zone” hidden partition. In the event that my computer experiences a full hard drive hardware failure, all partitions will be inaccessible. In planning for this inevitable event, because all hard drives will crash sooner or later, I would like to back up the image to a DVD. So, how do I access the “Secure Zone” hidden partition, so that I can copy the image that was created and then place it onto DVD?

  2. Unless you've done something horrible to your partition since
you backed up to the Secure Zone, why not make a fresh
backup directly to DVD? I back up regularly to both places,
not necessarily on the same date, to cover all the bases,
including keeping one DVD backup off site to cover fire, theft
and other ways my entire system, let alone just the hard drive,
might fail or disappear. But I wouldn't want to go _just_ with
DVD; the Secure Zone is such a handy place to get at
    individual backed-up files.

There is no capacity in True Image to copy an image in a Secure Zone to any other location. The only safe way to protect your system is to make an new backup not in the SZ.

I created my own backup zone, in a separate partition, to aviod this problem.

Yes, that's what I do also. There are times when a SZ is useful, but I have found it more convenient not to use it.
