Is there any way to encrypt or password protect, or keep Firefox bookmarks on a different Hard Drive?

If my Laptop ever crashes, the screen etc, and I have to send it in to a repair shop, I don't want them to be able to see my personal Firefox bookmarks.

    Any solution please?

I use Foxmarks it is a add-on for Firefox and you can synchronize your bookmarks on any computer that has Firefox and Foxmarks installed.

Looks good. But I cannot figure out how to tell Foxmarks to delete the bookmarks from my local Firefox on exit.

    Can you tell me?

Well if you use Truecrypt to encrypt your system you don't have to worry!

I only have 1GB Ram, and truecrypt slows my system down too much. I tried it.

    Hello,
Keep your profile on a USB key?
That way, there won't any info left on the pc itself ...
You could also try Portable Firefox.

I do not believe you can delete your bookmarks on exit of Firefox with Foxmarks, the only thing I can suggest is do not click synchronize on exit and delete your bookmarks when you need to before you exit, or do what Mrkvonic said and have them on a USB drive, but you will have to backup and import your bookmarks ever time you use Firefox, where Foxmarks will import automatically each time FireFox starts.
