How Can I Become an ISP?

    :D In the old days, there weren't any ISP's to speak of and so people got on without. It was tough and fraught with difficulties but they did it somehow. How, with today's Internet climate, can one become a very smalltime ISP? Anyone got any ideas or useful info on this? I am very curious about this. Thanks. ;)

    Thanks for the link! I checked it out. Too rich for my blood/wallet! I can see now it would be comparitively cheaper to access the Net, without an ISP, through a router. You know? The old way! I'll also need to learn a lot more before I make that jump.

    Interesting note: What I pay my ISP per year could buy two routers! Thanks again! :)
