hopeless and desperate for help

I am a first timer here, hope i am in the right area. computer slowing down, unusual pop ups, new desk icons. having a hard time getting to web sites. can't access microsoft at all. ran hijackthis log. nod 32 appears to be locked out of all my files. can anyone help

Unzip Hijackthis to a permanent folder of it's own (not a Temp folder or desktop). Do a scan and copy & paste the log here in this thread in your next reply. Do not fix anything in hijackthis by yourself as most of what it lists will be harmless and even essential to the operation of your computer. Wait until an Expert has reviewed it and they will advise what needs to be fixed.

Thank you for your kind welcome and prompt reply. I hope I followed your directions ok. I used Spybot S&D. I also have Adware downloaded and had used it earlier. I have a myriad of problems. Can't access microsoft site. pop ups appearing. also quick flashes of things that you can't see. icons appearing on my companion users desk top. computer getting slower and slower. problems downloading sites.
