I know of labrea@home and CookieCutter, but are there any more honeytraps we could use?

Edit:  that's CookieCooker, not CookieCutter.  I keep making the same mistake!

Checkout - I just now read your post about CookieCooker - haven't had time to read up on it.

I just decided a long time ago that totally eliminating the threat of information-exposure via cookies was best handled by using CookieMuncher ( http://software.design.tripod.com/ - click on the 'Downloads' link).

No cookie stays on my HD longer than a half-a-second, so none of them have a chance to correlate any data (profile me).

I don't have to deal with cookies at all.  I  don't have to examine them, decide which ones I want to keep, or play with them to try to misinform anyone about anything - I just don't have time for all that.

I simply log in anywhere I need to post - the log-in still stays good for that browser session, regardless of whether or not the cookie gets 'eaten' after it serves its' purpose (getting you logged in, in this case).

I've found that not logging in somewhere until/unless you're going to post is a good pratice anyway - no one knows where you are or what you're reading if you're not logged in.

Just my thoughts on it. Pete

L_S - Works fine with the Opera I'm using - you just have to make sure the path is right. In Opera, CM never stops munching 9so make sure you keep the sound off when you try it). Pete

Oh, I see...  Then again, just about all fathers fall into that category, so why's it a bad word?  Confused...

Still some weird responses in the thread though.  ;)

    Amusing, however.

lol @ checkout... I can't tell if you are kidding or if you are really confused! hehe If you are kidding then I know you are not an American for sure... Then again it may be sarcasm slipping past my sensors. Well either way you are right it doesn't make a lot of sense, and I'm a father as well. Anyway that's just the way that little phrase has been used since before I was born in the states; as an insult.
