I'm getting a false positive and it's blocking my CyberLink Power DVD. It says there's a hollow process on the CyberLink Player Helper 1.5. I ran a scan with Hitman and it came up clean, hence the false positive. How do I fix this?

Because the latest build is still a Pre-release build. Until it's released as Final/Stable, then it will not be released for the general public yet. :)
If you want, you may install that Pre-release build.

What did you scan? Only CyberLink Power DVD? Or the whole computer system?
It's a hollow process detection, so maybe the problem is not with CyberLink Power DVD, but with a malware doing hollow process in your computer's system. Someone correct me if I'm wrong with this.

Without a screenshot of the alert (or log) we can't tell much... what security softwares you have beside HMP.A?

as above can't tell without at least the screenshot or log.

Many security softs inject stuff on processes so HMPA often flag them.

Strictly seen Build 573 is not a Pre-Release anymore, it can be downloaded from their official website (If you click on "Free-30 day Trial" you'll get build 573) and is now available "for the general public":
But still no new changelog on their website, and since one week no response from them.
    So we have to guess...

Thanks for pointing that out! :)
I guess the Loman brothers just forgot to announce here that the build already became Final. :)

I've been following this thread from the beginning and the pattern is fairly consistent; they announce when a build is going to be pushed out via the internal updater. Why do people stress about this?

    Hi

Just got mine. Had to remove build 562 and re-installed build 573 since build 562 doesn't update to latest build

    Thanks

Er.. What do you mean "build 562 doesn't update to latest build"?
Do you mean it doesn't automatically update to build 573?
    That is normal.
Usually, auto-update is pushed about a week after release date.
If build 573's release (not pre-release) was a day or a couple of days ago, the auto-update will probably be about the same day next week.

Of did you mean you tried installing build 573 over build 562 and that didn't work?
That would be peculiar. Normally, a new build is easily installed over the previous build, without uninstalling the previous build.

for anyone who has trouble with devices, such as keyboards or DVD or USB devicies, it is definitely worth a try to install the latest build. It very often contains fixes for these hardware incompatibilities. Don't wait for an update to be pushed out to you automatically, because you will have to wait a long time.

I'm waiting for a deal to renew my license to.

I'm a long time HMP user and i'm using HMPA since 2014, and i love both, but i can't afford the full price for 3 PCs, so i will need to search for an alternative less expensive.

What I meant was I went to HMPA tray icon and right click to check for update but there's none.
So I uninstalled build 562 and fresh install build 573

    Thanks

For future reference, you don't need to uninstall the previous version.

    Thanks, NiteRanger.
    That is normal.
As build 573's release (not pre-release) was only a couple of days ago, it is not yet available through HMP.A's internal updater.
Usually, a new release is available through HMP.A's internal updater in about a week after release date.
As build 573's release was a couple of days ago, the auto-update will probably be about the same day next week.

That's OK, but as eddywood mentioned, you don't need to uninstall the previous version.
A new build is easily installed over the previous build, without uninstalling the previous build.
I you don't want to wait for the automatic update, you can go to the HitmanPro.Alert web page and download the HMP.A installer (green "FREE 30-Day Trial" button), and run the installer to update the program. It will ask to reboot the system, and after that you're done.

Is it possible to use both HitmanPro.Alert and Voodooshield (either, paid or free) on the same computer, are there any conflicts?

It would be a good idea if BrainWarp updated the signature that says "Win 7x64 prevx and Kaspersky 2011 IS".
