    1. Can you try activating the license via HitmanPro instead of HitmanPro.Alert? Alert will pick up the license after reboot.
    2. You cannot deregister a license; just contact me I will deregister it for you
    3. All features of HMPA are on XP - Win10RS1

We are working on this. Try disabling Master Boot Record protection on the CryptoGuard menu via de orange tile.

    573 works fine here

So will you let us know what's thumbprint based suppression? or are you not letting the cat out of the bag coz the patent is not filed yet. :shifty:

    1. HMP is already registered and has been for awhile on Vista32 laptop: commercial license expires Dec 2017. HMP.A current license is blank. HMP.A Safe browsing and Exploit mitigation are blank (large icon but no small icons below). Risk reduction has small icons.
Attempting to activate HMP.A fails with "A generic error occurred." when I enter the license and click activate button.

    2. Cleverbridge reference number and product key in conversation. Did I incorrectly transcribe the license? Please deregister Win7 Pro (64).

    3. Thanks: JEAM and erikloman.

New 4. In addition to the earlier note that HitmanPro.com does not have links to contact support (nor reference to here, a specific Sophos forum, ...) and a couple of typos, I noticed: " The TRAIL LICENSE screen appears." I don't know if it bothered anyone else, but I still mentally trip over the icon titles "Safe browsing" (v. "Safe Browsing"), etc.

    Thanks for your help.

3.6.0 b573 all good here. Launched all browsers, media apps, office & mail programs, without issue. Also tested sleep, restart, shutdown & startup, all clean.

Now i know why i get this SBIE2203-message.
But i noticed no further problems, only the message of Sandboxie (which can be hidden)
    "thumbprint facility" :cautious:
Whatever, the build is running fine :thumb:
    -------
I found some strings in the executable, maybe related to that new "thumbprint-feature":
    WhiteThumbprints
    Thumbprint
    UserThumbPrints

And a new directory was created with these new builds:
    c:\ProgramData\HitmanPro.Alert\drop\

Well it basically auto disables ROP for Photoshop Elements Editor. Similar to unchecking CFI via the UI. But as of build 573 you don't have to do anything. It now just works.

The only issue I've seen is the same as I've been seeing for quite a while now where the coloured border and keystroke encryption indicator doesn't always show up. If I open the HMP.A GUI the border shows up and the keystroke encryption indicator will then show.

    Other than that, no problems.

Tried HitmanPro.Alert 3.6 Build 573 but my pc crashed when installing it. My external HDD was connected. Will the USB problem be fixed?

May I suggest to gray out the according check-box, or hide the according function.

I know, that this will possibly cause questions, but will clearly indicate, which minigations are operative.

The tray-icon doesn't appeared after logging in.
But it happened only one time, so it's maybe a one-time-glitch. Below you'll see that the service started the second hmpalert-process but soon after that it just terminates.
There were no specific errors in the windows event-log or anywhere else.
    Code:
    [Process Creation]

    19.11.2016 12:01:28
    Process: [2348] C:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro.Alert\hmpalert.exe
    CommandLine: "C:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro.Alert\hmpalert.exe" /tray
    Version: 3.6.0.573
    Parent: [728] C:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro.Alert\hmpalert.exe
    Parent CommandLine: "C:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro.Alert\hmpalert.exe" /service

    [Process Termination]

    19.11.2016 12:01:38
    Process: [2348] C:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro.Alert\hmpalert.exe

HMP is already registered .... Attempting to activate HMP.A fails with "A generic error occurred."
    Eventual solution
: Uninstalled HMP.Alert. Rebooted. Downloaded and installed latest production HMP.A. HMP.A then recognized license of already installed and licensed HMP. All I needed to do (so far) was enable advanced interface and USB options. Old intermittent problem with encrypted keystrokes interfering with LastPass has not recurred (yet).
(Ir?)Relevant Notes -- This involved a pre-slit unified license (before HMP only license existed) and only HMP was activated before the split licensing. OS: Vista32. When all else fails (and preferably before;)), start over. Remember to note any customization before removing HMP.A.
Thanks JEAM and ericloman for assistance.
