    HitmanPro.Alert 2.6.0 Build 69 Public Beta

    Changelog
    • FIXED: Compatibility with Bitdefender Antivirus / Internet Security
    • IMPROVED: hmpalert.dll loading mechanism
    • IMPROVED: Font handling in UI
    • ADDED: High-DPI support for the flyout

Be sure to uninstall existing Alert installation and reboot before installing this version 2.6.

Do not use yet in production environments as this is a new beta.

IMPORTANT: This build is currently incompatible with Avast on x64.

    Download

Should we uninstall the current version before installing this new one? Is that a "given"? :)

Does HitmanPro.Alert 2.6.0 build 64 automatically update to build 69?

    Correction:
    Where I said HitmanPro.Alert 2.6.0 build 64, I meant HitmanPro.Alert 2.5.6.64

No not yet because we made a big change in the loading mechanism. Before we auto update we need a good success rate of the build from our testers (you guys). We've done many tests ourselves but we cannot test every single combination of AVs.

So please uninstall ANY previous version of Alert and reboot BEFORE installing this build 2.6 :thumb:

Looking forward receiving test results in ths this thread :thumb:

Build 69 working OK with Firefox, both Sandboxed (Sandboxie) and not Sandboxed.
However, will only work with Chrome unsandboxed. If I start Chrome in Sandboxie I get a 'Windows - Application Error' warning and various extensions crash - not always the same ones.

The issue, when running HMPA along with bitdefender, has gone.
Also fonts in settings UI are now uncut. (German version)

I got a warning from Google-Chrome, that browser settings have been changed...
    What could that be?

After install HitmanPro.Alert 2.6.0 Build 69 Public Beta and reboot all my browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome) crashed at startup.
Even disable of the HitmanPro.Alert service did not help me.
Yes, before install of HitmanPro.Alert 2.6.0 Build 69 I removed the previous HitmanPro.Alert and so after reboot I started clean with this install.
My system is Vista Home Premium SP2 and allWU fixes applied.
After remove of HitmanPro.Alert 2.6.0 Build 69 and reboot everything was normal again.
Previous I was running HitmanPro.Alert 2.5.6 Build 64 without problems.

Were you running with Sandboxie? What other products are you using?

I can confirm. Avast on x64 is currently incompatible with this build  . Expect a fix soon.

I thought I had no problems here with IE and Firefox, but when I wanted to install extra windows features from the control panel I got an access denied error.
Removing HitmanPro.Alert solved that issue for me.

I just installed 2.0.10.45 on Win 8.1 Pro and I am not seeing any fly-outs when starting IE or Firefox. The only fly-out that I saw was a black one that indicated the install was successful. I don't have this problem on XP and Win7. Seems like the fly-outs are more trouble than they are worth.

I'm running Sandboxie 4.08 on firefox and win 8.1 64 bit. I get a fly out everything I start it sandboxed. How else would I check to see if it's working?

The ability to remove it appeared in programs after a reboot.

Hi Adric! Thats the old version (black flyout). Make sure you've installed version 2.6.
