Others report improved performance, as I suggested last night have you disabled your add-ons, AV and uninstalled (not just disabled) Malwarebytes to make sure one of those is not conflicting with FF and HitmanPro.Alert? Go through the process of elimination.

    1) If the language is changed, HMPA restarts itself but the text at the trayicon (after rightclicking it) wasn't changed. A reboot is needed to see it finally changed.
    2) I don't know exactly how HMPA extracts the version information of applications, but at "Running applications" i see this: Total Commander 0.0 (totalcmd64.exe)
    3) If a file is being downloaded with Google Chrome, HMPA always creates a temporary file that has the same filesize in C:\Windows\Temp
This means, if a 1gb-file is being downloaded, additional 1gb are needed for the download. This doesn't happen with a different browser (for example Firefox)
Is this (big) temporary file really needed?
I'm always low on diskspace therefore i'm asking

    Suggestion:
Is it possible to highlight protected apps, that are currently running? (In the main screen of HMPA). Maybe with a yellow border around the icon or something like that.
So a user knows (with only opening the main screen) what apps are currently protected.

Are they actually allocations? I suppose it doesn't really matter if the problem was fixed, but I would expect these to be VirtualProtect calls from the W^X change.

    HitmanPro.Alert 3.1.9 Build 369 PreRelease

Well that KB3146706 is one thing. Looks like Microsoft made big changes to ntdll.dll while the knowledge base article only mentions OLE changes. Yeah right!
If you Google for KB3146706 you'll find that there is something fishy with KB3146706.

Anyway, it took the best part of King's Day to work on fixing compatibility with Windows 7 KB3146706.

    Changelog
    • Fixed code injection issue with Windows 7 KB3146706.

Please let me know how this version runs on your computer :thumb:

Thank you very much for your work, Erik! :thumb:

It sure looks it fixed the previously reported issue.
    See:

I hope all users will be automatically updated soon, as this seems quite an important and urgent fix.

Thanks very much once again! :thumb:

    HitmanPro.Alert 3.1.9 Build 369

    Protective Border BUG

Sometimes the Protective Border will disappear if a program is minimized on the desktop and then re-opened. Later, it might or might not reappear.

It occurs when a user minimizes and re-opens an application using the task bar icon.

It doesn't matter which protected application...

    Hi Miguel.
My experience.- With new version of HitmanPro.Alert, Firefox 46.0 works fine without any limitation in HMPro.Alert. Slow but I don't know the reason.
    Kaspersky IS 16.0.1.445 ( c )
MBAM 2.2.1.1043 PRO - NO resident.
    HitmanPro.Alert 3.1.9.368 released

    Regards

Erik any news on the following change?

allowing users to set the temp folder used by hitman pro alert?

    Also another request.

When there is program updates can you add a requirement for the end user to approve the update and a screen to show the changelog? thanks.

Also two other problems, one is unconfirmed tho/

Chrome when running flash content is very slow, I am shortly going to uninstall hmpa to see if it gets resolved. I will post back here after test.
Securecrt I have enabled protections, and using test tools can confirm keyboard typing is encrypted, however the window border does not show the encryption protection.

Today, on my second system, I noticed it was automatically updated to build 368, but not 369.
That means the mentioned issue of of missing hmpalert.dll injection for 64 bit programs is not yet automatically fixed.
As that is a serious issue, I really hope build 369 is pushed for all users, as soon as possible.

    N.B.
Anyone who rolled out the April 12 Patch Tuesday Windows Updates early, got KB3146706 ticked by default and probably had it installed.
Only later KB3146706 was unticked and no longer installed by default.
Anyone who rolled out the April 12 Patch Tuesday Windows Updates early, is probably affected by the previously reported issue and needs HMP.A build 369 to fix that.
Therefore I think it would be wise to push build 369 for automatically updating as soon as possible.

We will roll 369 asap. We need some more feedback. Also from non-Win7 users. Keep it coming!

    I had KB3146706 installed, but wasn't affected from this "hmpalert.dll injection"-bug.
And i had no crash of Firefox 46 (and since weeks i had 46beta installed, no crash too)
So there were no problems with older builds of HMPA in the last time on my system.
    Maybe i had luck :)
Edit: Build 369 is running fine

    Thanks very much, Erik.
I can understand you need more feedback before rolling out 369.

As I think the issue is crippling HMP.A to some extend, and therefore is rather scary, I talked a friend through installing 369, to be on the safe side.
I hope you get more feedback on 369, and feel confident to roll it out for all users, later.
