Having installation issues with KTS2016MR1 .428beta... got BSOD trying to install HMPA 3.1b344.

The last beta HMPA3.1 I tested and was working fine with KTS2016MR1beta was HMPA 3.1b336 + KTS2016MR1 .316beta...

I'm uploading the compressed full memory dump to my ownCloud account...

    Sophos Acquires SurfRight

We have been acquired by Sophos! Since our company is really small, seeking partnership with an established company is the best option for us to conquer the business space.

Sophos will continue development and support for SurfRight’s existing product line including its popular HitmanPro malware scanning and removal tools, used by more than 20 million users worldwide. Sophos will also retain all SurfRight employees and the company’s office in Hengelo. SurfRight CEO Mark Loman will join the Sophos Enduser Security Group, reporting to Dan Schiappa.

Congratz erikloman !! -- Awesome. -- Kudos on the high opinion such a well established and respected security vendor as Sophos has in you, your company, and your products.

Congratulations to Erik and Mark and lets not forget the unseen 'backroom staff' who I am sure have played a key role in getting SurfRight where they are now :thumb:

Hmm, waiting to see what happens upon big fish eating little fish.
What happens to licenses and license structure.
Wonder if big news is why next year brings license split.
Wonder if big fish will be inclined to have little fish play with security brands other than big fish.

Well every one predicted bad things when Invincea took over Sandboxie, and it has proven of benefit to everyone. WIth no more information then anyone else, but judging what I've seen of the Loman bros there I'd bet it will be a big positive for everyone including us fishies here at Wilders.

    @markloman ,

    So HitmanPro.UTM will continue too?

Will you incorporate it into other brands than Sitecom?

    Thanks

    Congratulations to everyone at SurfRight.

It shall be exciting to see how far you can push future development of HitmanPro.Alert, now that you are part of a bigger organization.

And especially if HitmanPro.Alert will continue to be offered as a standalone solution.

This certainly opens a lot of new doors for your products. Especially in the enterprise landscape.

    Once again, congratulations.

Congratulations! Great to hear Surfrights products and employees will remain. Sad to see Mark leave to Sophos though.

    Questions to Erik @erikloman

    I have a 3 PCs - 1 Year Subscription, which expires 2016-11-19, plus a 'Black Friday 2015' HitmanPro (incl. HitmanPro.Alert) 3 PCs - 2 Years Subscription.

    1. Can I activate the unused 3 PCs - 2 Years license in November 2016 without any issues (with Sophos)? Or, to be safe, would it be better to 'combine' my current license with the unused license now, into one license valid to November 2018? Both my licenses cover HitmanPro and HitmanPro.Alert. Will Sophos honor this combo-deal also in the future?

    2. And, if Sophos decides to stop developing HitmanPro or HitmanPro.Alert, in favor of new products, would my subscriptions be valid for those new products without upcharge?

If need be, can I email you a request to: erik@surfright.com ? Thanks.
