Erik, the download link is blocked by both Firefox and Chrome

 

No problems upgrading to build 342 PreRelease.

Win10 1511 build 10586.17 x64/Norton Security with Backup v22.5.5.15

 

W7-x64 with FF 42.0 Confirmation of the blocked download.
With IE11 the download + save + installation over build 340 proceeded as expected!

FF 42.0 sees the download site as a 'reported attack site', removing that check mark bypasses the issue.

 

No problem here downloading it using FF 42, 64-bit

 

What exactly did you mean when you said "No luck with IE11"?
Do you experience an issue downloading hmpalert3b342.exe (pre-release) with IE11?
No issue here, downloading hmpalert3b342.exe on Windows 7 x64 IE11.
(Also no issue downloading hmpalert3b342.exe on Windows Vista x86 IE9)

The fact that there is (or was?) an issue downloading with Firefox as well as Google Chrome must be because both use Google's Safe Browsing, I suppose? It's crazy that it is (or was?) blocking the download of hmpalert3b342.exe

 

That's odd.
When we are talking about downloading, do we all mean the same thing?
With "downloading" some mean downloading and saving, where others mean running the installer with downloading.
I downloaded and saved, I didn't run the hmpalert3b342.exe installer.
Perhaps others didn't save the installer, but ran it with downloading and that caused the issue? Just thinking about an explanation for the differences we're seeing ...

 

Please note a warning of security error is found by Google Safe Browsing that http://test.hitmanpro.com/hmpalert3b342.exe contains harmful programs!

 

I've got the big red Chrome screen saying harmful download too

 

It has already been highlighted by Dark Star 72 some time ago...

Is the bundle with HMP + Emsisoft Anti-malware only for new customer/installs or is it also to renew a licens?

 

This is with FF 42 as well.

 

On Virustotal, Google Safebrowsing is the only URL classification service to flag the URL.

 

HMP.A build 342 is not malicious, but has low reputation ranking, because it's brand new.
But I guess the exploit testing tools triggered Google and Mozilla safe-browsing.

I already installed build 342, of course no malicious action happened.

 

I would never suggest any SurfRight product is malicious but I thought Erik and Mark should know of the issue.
