We will try to reproduce an come up with a fix.

Do the extra flyouts mentioned the same product name ("Internet Explorer 9") or do you see "Flash plugin-container".

Confirmed. You need to configure a Dutch keyboard to trigger the issue. We will investigate the source of the issue and develop a fix.
As a workaround, choose an English keyboard layout in Regional settings (in Windows Control Panel).

    Confirmed. Expect a fix soon.

Do you get an actual crash or do you get an alert message from HitmanPro.Alert?

I have W7-x64 US with a US keyboard and IE11 and that triggers the (" and ') issue too.

The problem is isolated to Windows 7 or older. Windows 8 do not have the issue. We are working on a solution.

    Regarding the colored borders,
    Thanks very much.

    Regarding extra flyouts in IE,
I haven't yet seen them today, but to my recollection it was "Internet Explorer 9", not "Flash plugin-container".
Also, I have Flash Player disabled in IE, usually, so I would expect a flyout mentioning Flash.
As soon as I see the extra flyout in IE, I will report back.

Regarding Keystroke encryption and the apostrophe and quotation mark issue,
    As L10090 replied,
Same here, keyboard settings United States (International),
but yet the mentioned apostrophe and quotation mark issue.
    N.B.
Oddly, at this moment, with Keystroke encryption enabled, I can type ' and " at Wilders, while I still cannot at Security.nl. Very strange.
    P.S.
I have seen the same apostrophe and quotation mark issue with G Data '2015' Keylogger Protection, April 2014. G Data had to make some adjustment to fix that issue.

Regarding the Internet Explorer Lockdown issue,
    Thanks very much.

Good to see the IE properties issue is confirmed. I am seeing this also. I am also seeing an issue where if IE 11 (Windows 8.1 x64) is launched in Sandboxie it never loads a page and has to be killed. I assume someone else has already found this, but did not have time to search for it right now. I don't much care as I rarely use Sandboxie/IE together anyway, but it did seem to work before adding HMPA.

--I may have to take that back, it looks like Norton may have silently been blocking IE in Sandboxie but not outside of it. I will have to investigate further...

--Yep, works fine on a machine with Trend Micro. I guess I'll have to take this up with Norton.

I have had 100% sell rate last 2 days! I sold to six customers already.

Just had one more upgrade from 2.6.5.77 to 3.0.36.181 go bad, the hitmanpro.alert service will not start at boot.
The fist two computers that failed were Win 7 64 bit, with MSE and MBAM Premium.
I guess I will try uninstall/reinstall HMPA, yep that fixed it on the win7 machines,

This one that just failed was Windows 8.1 32 bit on Acer Aspire Switch 10 - Intel Atom Z3745F 1.33Ghz 2GB Ram (windows defender, no other security)
I tried uninstall/reinstall 3 times while customer was watching. Tried uninstall tool, oops that is for 2.x version only(it left empty icons and such). Service won't start tried starting it manually, Error:1068 The dependency service or group failed to start. I had to just give up for now. That is a lost sale for now. From now on I will ALWAYS uninstall v 2.6 first

For test purposes I used the hpa uninstaller64.exe (for the 2.x versions) to uninstall hpa3 build 179, which seems to work fine!

After that: 'Reboot', 'Installed build 181' and immediately did a 'Reset settings' from the hpa General settings menu, Reboot and everything was ok!
PS: I am doing the 'Reset settings' because E. Loman mentioned on this forum thread that an uninstall did not remove all previous settings.

    Hi Mike

I suspect that you know this already but there is an HMP.A Removal tool available for complete removal of the software. I found it extremely useful when I had a stalled installed. Ran it and then reinstall HMP.A with no issues.

    Regards, Baldrick

It looks like the blue border is from the browser exploit mitigations in 181. I did not have that border in 179.

It is one of the HMP.A 3 safety notifications. The flyout at application start is another one.
If you don't want the colored borders, you can disable it via the HMP.A 3 user interface.
In HMP.A 3 user interface click "Safety notification", click "Colored window border", un-check "Show colored window border".

Colored window borders can be switched on or off:

Have a link to that removal-tool?

To my knowledge there is no tool for V3, of HMP.Alert.
The only removal-tool, buried in this thread, is for V2.6.xxx, not for V3.

Doing hmpv3.alert /uninstall, does not remove all traces.

It leaves the bad-usb keyboard history and the licence, rendering my keyboard nonfunctional.
    Period!

I'll take this in consideration, maybe tomorrow.
But for now my feeling is,that Eric was playing ping-pong with my issue, not confirming, that there is a keyboard history.

There must be a history, otherwise I would have been asked for permission, for new keyboard, after "clean" install.
So doing hmpav3.exe /uninstall does not remove all traces.
    Period!

I don't know how to say in english,
but I believe to have hit a woundable target, habe in ein Wespennest gestochen,
    einen verwundbaren Punkt gefunden...

I hope they get the service not starting on upgrade problem resolved before they roll out the automatic update from 2.6 to version 3.
I put version 2.6 on about 2,000 customer computers.

Most enterprise grade products have LONG term support for this reason.. It's wise not to 'break' stuff for enterprise.. That's why Trend is still way behind with Worry Free Business, and SEP is so slow in development, and Sophos ESC looks like a 1990s program. It's suicide to break stuff on enterprise, always better to 'slowly' ramp up.
