    Version 2.0.7.32 is out: http://files.surfright.nl/beta/hmpalert.exe
Is an option to control the update process, i.e. turn off automatic updates, going to be made available for those of us that like to update our software manually?

If I'm using Sandboxie, AppGuard and NVT ERP along with a traditional AV and firewall, is there any need for a program like HitmanProAlert, or is it redundant?

Why is tweaking.com always flagged as malware by HMP.....I use their registry back-up and even older versions are still declared malware!

The flyouts quit working on Win8 after a couple of days of up-time with 206. A reboot got them working again.

I see 207 is out. No auto update here yet.

Am I correct in concluding that HMPAlert is not compatible with Sandboxie?

I've done several tests on XP and they should work together. That is, HitmanPro.Alert version 2.0.6 or newer.

    Using Sandboxie 4.03.03 and HitmanPro.Alert 2.0.7.32 on Win 7 64bits box.

Working OK but getting two flyers instead of one -no real problem at the moment and I'm sure will be fixed in due course.

It would be nice to have an Eicar type check download to confirm all is OK.

There's a newer version of HitmanPro.Alert available. After I updated to it, the two flyers was fixed.

Doesn't seem to work for me with Firefox & Sandboxie 3.76 on my XP SP3 machine. Browser just won't open at all.

Yes that should work. Then run hmpalert.exe without arguments to show the green window which will state that a reboot is needed to perform the update.

Yes Erik - Sandboxie 4.03.03 with HitmanPro.Alert 2.0.8.33 on Win 7 64 bits. Two flyers still appearing. Any other config information you would like?

It would be nice to have one flyer but it's no big deal.

How about an Eicar type check download? Is that reasonable?

    Why HitmanPro.Alert 1.0.3 Release Candidates
have been removed from the page
    http://www.surfright.nl/en/downloads/beta
They are much more stable than current v2 and, sometimes, more useful. Some FPs is not a problem.

With versions 2.0.4, 2.0.6 when I click on an archive to open it, WinRAR starts with no windows visible. Firefox portable starts with no windows visible.
With version 2.0.8, additionally, Internet Explorer starts with no windows visible! I can see the processes in Process Hacker or Task Manager.

So every new 2.x.x version works less stable on my system (Windows 7 SP1 32-bit, with current updates).

There are links to the old versions still working:

    HitmanPro.Alert 1.0.3 RC3 32-bit
    http://web.archive.org/web/20130629143821/http://dl.surfright.nl/beta/hmpalert.exe

    HitmanPro.Alert 1.0.3 RC3 64-bit(x64)

Version 2 is brand new product with completely new code.
Please give it some time, it will be more bugfree after time passes. That's why we have discussion here to find bugs.
You can't judge program by its first versions.

What is the changelog for 2.0.7 and 2.0.8?
Also is it now officially released? It's listed on the normal(non-beta) download page of Surfright and it doesn't say Beta in Erik's signature. But there is nothing on the site, blog or twitter.

Is uninstalling HMPAlert a pretty clean uninstall?

It would be nice to have an icon showing in the browser to tell us that HitmanPro.Alert is working up and running in your browser, and when HitmanPro.Alert is not working the icon is grey out telling us something is wrong with HitmanPro.Alert so we could fix the problem if it not installed properly or might be a bug problem just to give us a full attention if something goes wrong.

I understand that HitmanPro.Alert is running silent in the background behind the browser, and will only alert you if your browser becomes unsafe to use.

Edit: 4/7/2013 at 12:24am:- When I turn on my laptop the HitmanPro.Alert flyout message stop showing up any more while I'm currently using FF v22.0 have I done something wrong, I did have the flyout message a while ago and now is not showing when I run FF is this normal or a minor bug problem I'm using the latest HitmanPro.Alert v2.0.8.
