As HMPA does not require definition updates, what is the reason for it requesting internet access?

Thank you for providing that information.

Is there any chance of allowing a user the option to disable that feature in a future version if they so desire? I prefer to determine when most of my programs are allowed to update.

If the above feature isn't going to happen I can always just block it with my firewall I guess.

I have installed HitmanPro.Alert on one of my computers and I have discovered an incompatability between the software and StripMyRights.

    Link to StripMyRights : http://www.sysint.no/products/Download/tabid/536/language/enUS/Default.aspx

When I run IE8 or Opera with a token, HitmanPro.Alert crash (service is stopped).
No issues when I run IE8 or Opera without a token.

My OS: french edition of Windows XP pro SP3.

Please, consider to add support for StripMyRights! :doubt:

We are working on a release. No firm date yet but a beta will be out in a few weeks.

    Hello,

I had Firefox opened and I clicked on CNET TechTracker icon in my taskbar so that it could take me to my CNET TechTracker page, and HitmanPro.Alert gave me this warning:

    Clipboard.jpg

    CNET TechTracker:

    http://www.cnet.com/techtracker-free/

    SHA256: 303d052723b8be9a40097bd942e8d58243b2385d7d365a83c807176344ae35cd

~ VirusTotal Results Removed per Policy ~

I just wanted to know if this was a false positive or not?

    Thank you,
    -John Jr :)

Is HitmanPro.Alert compatible with Sandboxie. On my XP XP3 system, something is stopping my HitmanProAlert Service. I'm not positive this is the problem, but it seems like once I run Firefox sandboxed (SBIE), the HMP.Alert Service stops and never starts again until a reboot. I suppose something else could be causing this problem (NoScript or RequestPolicy??), but I wish I could find the culprit. For whatever reason, I just cannot keep that "service" running.

This problem comes probably from the restricted privileges that Sandboxie can apply on the apllications.
Read my post a little above. :p

I installed the beta today and got this when opening Firefox:

    Process ID 3424
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

    ntdll.dll
    LdrLoadDll xul.dll+2926160
    NtMapViewOfSection 06F10048
    NtSetInformationProcess 06F1012A
    NtTerminateThread 0030004C
    ZwMapViewOfSection 06F10048
    ZwSetInformationProcess 06F1012A
    ZwTerminateThread 0030004C

In my limited user account I also get a warning when opening Firefox but nothing shows on "Details". I'm on XP32 SP3, Firefox 16.

I don't want to be stupid, but why takes it so long to make a new release?

We had to re-assign two engineers to a different project that got a priority boost. More on that next month. Rest assured Alert is not cancelled and back on track.
