We were on vacation (I was on vacation for 4 weeks :) ).
During this period, not much work has been done on HitmanPro.Alert. But I can assure you that we are working full time again at SurfRight. Expect a new beta of HitmanPro.Alert within 1 or 2 weeks.

    Hope this helps.

Would it make sense to have HitmanPro.Alert in a Linux system protecting the browser or are the malware it protects you from Windows only?

HitmanPro.Alert only runs on Windows as this is currently most dominant platform where bank trojans work on.

Even if Windows is the most dominant platform I can see a use for a program like this on all popular platforms.

This is normal. It is the audiodg.exe process. You can ignore that in the debug log.

Does this app essentially monitor for so-called "man-in-the-browser" attacks?

It monitors critical browser APIs that are essential for secure browsing (cryptography and internet APIs). Malware hooks these to get control over what is sent and received.

I've read before that 64-bit browsers are not yet supported.

Most 64-bit browsers are supported, including Waterfox, Internet Explorer, Opera, etc.

    HitmanPro.Alert 1.0.3.0 bèta 3b problem

I'm using Windows 8 Pro RTM x64 with FireFox 15.0.1 and have a license for HitmanPro, I also use MBAM and SAS and NIS2013..

When scanning with all of the above I can't find any problems..

I installed HitmanPro.Alert 1.0.3.0 bèta 3b and I got these messages in Firefox:

I dunno what the problem is, maybe someone can help me ?!

    Regards,

    Ferenc
