May be because of any rootkit or incompatibility with any other security software ...Not sure though.

This is why I've asked earlier. So could you please answer my question how is possible that a two months old Skype setup file ( Hitman uploaded from my pc this week ) and the (current) setup of Feedemon ( Hitman uploaded yesterday ( or the day before ) from my pc ) could be uknown files. Because then I'll have to put much less trust on the "cloud" thing. Thanks.

If you can give me the SHA-256 (or SHA-1) hash then I can see how long it has been in our cloud. You can get the hash using a tool like Hashtab.

    SHA-1: 01F36BD4374178655DBD3554B1E99951A9A0C379
Feedemon setup file. Downloaded from the official site 12 June 2010. Yesterday Hitman started uploading it ( i think I've cancelled the upload since I knew it was a safe file...but I'm not sure 100% if I indeed cancelled the upload ). Later I'll be able to give you the hash of the Skype setup file. Thank you.

update: unfortunately I cannot locate the skype setup file. Sorry for even mentioning it without having the proof. In any case the upload happened this week, so I guess if you'd like you could check it anyway and use the information for internal use or discovering a possible bug. In any case I'm really happy with your software and I really appreciate your efforts. It's just that appeared strange to me such known files not be known for the cloud you use. Thanks again for the great software.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

You have uploaded a brand new version of FeedDemon as your uploaded file with the specified SHA1-hash has an Authenticode signature dated June 11th.

    FeedDemonIntall.png

With the upload you did other users of FeedDemon a favor as they don't need to upload this file again ;)

PS. I added the Authenticode Certificate to the internal white list of Hitman Pro.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

    Hi Erik Hi All
I have just installed HitMan Pro 3.5.6 beta on my Virtual PC running XP mode and on my Oracle Virtual Box 3.2.4 with XP home SP 3 fully up to date.
My systems are in italian, my native language.

I have noticed that "scan via context menu" is greyed (please have a look at the snapshots) and that there is no HitMan Pro 3.5.6 shortcut on the desktop and on program files, nor is present in control panel>add remove programs.

I have to doubleclick the installer to run HitMan Pro 3.5.6 beta.

Question: is that normal or expected? It happens on both my Virtual Machines installed on 2 different computers.

Thank you in advance for your reply and thank you for your great software

    Cheers:)

    Sincere congratulations Erik:)

I have a question, I think HitMan Pro suffers from a false positive.
I run a scan some minutes ago and HitMan Pro 3.5.5 found a rootkit:D
file: viahduaa.sys which belongs to Via High Definitio Aidio installed on my Asus Laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium x64
    Engine: PREVX 3.0.5
As a result I run a full scan with PREVX 3.0.5 full paid with found no malware and a scan with MBAM Pro and my O.S seems to be clean (please have a look at screenshots posted, thank you)

    What do you think?
I reported as a false positive and didn't delete or quarantine that driver.
Should I start to get worried?

Thank you in advance for you reply

Yep, false positive, you reported it so it will be worked out.

PrevX is very strong at zero-day malware, the best of all in the cloud. One disadvantage, which is quite of the logical consequence of the previously mentioned, is that it also has quite some false positives.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

    Thank you for your reply,
in order to be sure I also ran a full scan with SAS portable and I uploaded that driver to vrustotal as well.
And no malware has been detected.

    Cheers:)
