Hitman Pro Support and Discussion Thread

Hello, Is your company still in business? Are you still supporting this product? I just renewed my subscription that runs out in a couple of weeks and to make sure I had the latest version, I went to the download page. I saw that the latest product version update (.326) was released way back in JUNE of 2022!!!Seems a little old for a malware scanning product.

Please tell me that is not the most recent version of the product. I look forward to receiving some information on this or I will be forced to cancel my renewal.

 

I'm just another user, but I can tell you that Hitman Pro (HMP) is current at v3.8.30, build 326. It is a fairly mature program that doesn't get updated very often. Still working great here!

HitmanPro.Alert (HMPA) is the companion application, and is more actively developed. There are a couple of related threads here at Wilders Security Forums that you may be interested in, regarding the release version of HMPA, and the HMPA beta version:

Yes we still are in business, we've recently renewed the complete back-end infrastructure for HMP.
The product it self doesn't need to much updates, it uses a forensic approach to determine what to scan, the other intelligence is retrieved from the cloud/back-end infra.

For HitmanPro.Alert there is a new version coming out soon, I'm in the middle of testing a new RC build, but there will be at least one more new build to test before that goes on the forums here.

 

Hitmanpro Alert sometimes blocks non-malicious software as well.A warning message appears when you block it. Add this part to the add white list button ?

 

Is that the Red fly-out? or do you get a Attack Intercepted message?
Easiest for that is to contact support@hitmanpro.com for guidance.

If it's the AV engine blocking something you would like to allow you can go to the "Last event" button, find the offending Alert and use the "Suppress" function.

Hello thanks for your comment, yes I did run Kaspersky + norton power eraser, no problems so far.
Thing is I'm feeling my keyboard like slow, mostly when I'm typing over social medias like facebook, its goes super laggy.

 

Windows Defender (Configure Defender: Interactive) has been blocking both HMP and a fully registered copy of Sophos Scan and Clean for the last 3 days with a cryptic message "This content has been blocked by your administrator." Nothing is logged in WD Protection History. All digital signatures are valid. W10 Home 64-bit, latest version 19045.3324

 

Check Event Viewer. It's probably related to lsass.exe memory protection.

 

Thanks for the info! The logs do show Microsoft Defender Exploit Guard blocking an operation related to lsass.exe, and this coincides with the latest Defender platform/engine update last week.
