I just installed HitmanPro . System is clean and program is running fine. However, there seems to be an error created in the Event Log each time I run HitmanPro.

The error is: Event ID 129 ahcix64s Reset to device, \Device\ Raid Port 0, was issued.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Suggestion: Can you make possible to delete multiple logs at once?

Hmm seems odd. Must be related to the disk access mode. If you scan in compatible disk mode (in HitmanPro->Settings->Advanced), do you still get the error?

In the mean time, can you send me a PM with:

    1. Motherboard brand/type (for the chipset info)
    2. Version of Windows you are using
    3. Send me the ahcix64s.sys driver through wetransfer.com

    Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, but after working with it for quite some time, I just uninstalled HitmanPro . I seem to work hard enough keeping my pc's running well without adding problems with additional apps. Thanks anyway - appreciate your concern.

I also have problem with Hitman Pro since yesterday. Crashes everytime while scanning. Worked perfectly before. Changing to compatible disk mode solved the problem for me. But it's strange direct access mode stopped working since I had no problem with it before yesterday.

    Hitman Pro also doesn't like AVAST 2014 RC2 (9.0.2004):

I had to uninstall Hitman Pro because it kept downgrading my resolution to 800x600 from 1920x1080. I use high DPI which may be the reason why...at any rate, it is stupid default behavior that cannot be changed.

If you've booted in Safe Mode (=640x480), HitmanPro will resize to 800x600.
Something is going wrong determining the resolution though.
    Sending you a PM.

    Hi all,
I installed HP and used it a few times. I pinned the icon to my task bar with all the other icons and retained the icon on the desktop to leave there for a while. After a few days and using HP twice, the icons became corrupted and now only show a simple icon representing a file. I tried creating a new icon from the HP folder, but it too is corrupted. It's not a big deal, because I know what the simple icon is, but I would like the good one. This is the second time I installed my HP because I lost it once restoring an image. So this is the second time I lost the icon. Any ideas? Thanks for any response. :)

    Thanks Erik,
Now updated to the new version AVAST 2014 RC3 (build number 9.0.2005).
    I still get:

I noticed that Sunday when HitmanPro detected Avast! 2014 RC2 as malware, and it said Ikarus had detected it? So is it still using Ikarus?

Since Hitman Pro is such a small installation, where does it get its signatures from during scanning? Does ist download them from the internet into the RAM or does it use the cloud for everything?
