A download link would be nice.

Found it from an earlier post from you: http://www.surfright.nl/en/downloads/beta

Build 195 is running fine here on Windows 8 x64.

Some new files on my computer were not recognised and uploaded to the cloud and turned out to be fine.
That were Google Earth 7.1.1 and the Nvidia GeForce 320.00 beta driver.

Any reason why all this can't be kept on the cd?

As I said before, dedicating a usb flash drive just for KickStart seems like a waste of resources.

You can use an existing USB flash drive. Just copy manually both HitmanPro executables and the Kickstarter.exe to the flash drive. Only if you boot from the Sidekick CD.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,

I have not tried KickStart yet but before I do I have a question... Can KickStart be put on a multi-boot flash drive or does it require the entire drive?

My problem with Siekick is that it reacts differently if I boot from the iso image or if I burn the iso to CD and boot that. In both cases the active partition is booted, but when using the iso, the boot does not complete. After the windows logo (XP) is done, there is still disk activity, but then it stops and nothing happens - the logon screen never appears. When using the CD, the system completes the boot normally. I'm not sure why Sidekick hangs when booting from the iso image. It may well be that booting the iso with grub will not work.

  14. Two change requests

    1. Ability to install in user determined directory/folder

    2. Update to install folder in stead from folder where HitmanPro is downloaded. Now I need two firewall rules (one for the updater and the hmp installed executable), When first updaing to install folder, then seeking outbound connecion, only requires one firewall rule.

    Hi
I have an XP SP3 machine infected with the Garda Siochana ransom virus. I've created the USB boot disk using HMP 3.7.3 build 194. My infected machine boots okay from the USB drive and runs HitmanPro.Kickstart 2.1 but when I take option 1 to bypass the master boot record, the machine reboots and reloads the bios, same with option 2. If i let it continue to load the OS and I log in, my screen goes white and all I can do is log off. HMP does not load up on the infected machine.

Any advise on how to get it sorted?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    PS:
Erik/Mark may (or may not) be available at the moment.
It's Queen's Day in The Netherlands (30 April 2013), and a special one: the abdication of Queen Beatrix and the investiture of King Willem-Alexander.
This may (or may not) mean that persons or companies from The Netherlands are not available.

Hi, I got the same results following the instructions for the iso image on the cd. Is the virus smart enough to reboot if the MBR is bypassed? That's what happens each time.
My machine is a Dell Latitude D630, bios version A13. Please let me know if any other info would be useful in resolving this.
I understand there may be some sore heads in The Netherlands today :)

Yesterday, after more than 100 years having queens, we now have a king in Holland!

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima:

So we drank a few beers yesterday. Well, more than a few actually

The new cloud is running on all new hardware and is hosted in a different section of our data center.

As some may have noticed, the IP has changed as well. But thanks to DNS this was not a problem. All HitmanPro users are now consulting the new cloud.

We have a bit more retention for rescans and uploads are processed more quickly. Some uploads get classifications in less than 100ms! (no caching involved).

Are you trying to boot a multi-boot environment? These environments are not yet supported (most likely never will be supported). People with multi-boot environments don't really need Kickstart as they can boot in the other on-disk OS for remediation.

Also multi-boot USB (with multiple ISO's) usually don't work either due to the way Kickstart works.

Have you tried option 3? Which is a lot different than 1 and 2.

I couldn't find any information related to a Legacy Boot. The last chance description kinda makes me nervous! Can you explain what it does or what is expected to happen? Or link me to where its described.

    thanks,
    Scott

I know people from Neitherlands and they seem to be very happy about the new King and the Queen. This is very important, especially for you there.

Congratulations about that ! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
