    @mrpink,

    Regarding JRT.exe, many more found problems with that file than just HMP.
    For starters, Chrome's phishing and malware detection advised discarding the download... Chrome warns about JRTexe.jpg

    4 of 19 on Jotti and 9 of 42 on VirusTotal also had a problem with it.

    I get it. But why the Silver shield? I've never installed it. It must had come with some software.

    Does it make any harm if I remove it?

    Babylon is considered PUP (unwanted software = junk), so you better remove it. In addition to HMP, I'd recommend you also download&run AdWare Cleaner to completely remove all kind of junk stuff (including Babylon)

    Beta running fine here :) What's the reason for the version bump to 3.7? Normally HMP has more changes/new things on .1 version increases.

    I received an E-mail from SurfRight today:

    "The end-of year shopping frenzy has once again attracted the attention of cybercriminals. Online criminals are looking at the holiday shopping season to fill their own stockings with looted cash.

    Make sure your money is spend on the ones you love, and does not end up in the cyber criminals’ pockets. HitmanPro will take out viruses and other malware from your computer so you can shop online safely.

    In preparation for Cyber Monday and the holiday season, SurfRight offers you 50% discount on these HitmanPro licenses, only valid from Saturday November 24 until Monday November 26."

    I know thisisudax. This is indeed a FP. I've whitelisted the latest version of JRT.exe file in the cloud. Lets hope the others vendors, including Google, whitelist it too.

    Regarding the Black Friday deal: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=336548

    I already have a license that's still valid until march 2013, when I buy this deal will it append to my existing license/account of will I lose the remaining days of my existing license?

    The time starts when you activate the purchased key. If you activate in March 2013 it will expire in March 2016.

    My license expired about a year ago, and since I didn't need removal I didn't extend it but the Black Friday deal is very good so I bought a license again to support Surfright :) (And now I don't have that pesky 10 second count-down :p)

    Re: HitmanPro 3.7.0 Build 178 BETA

    It is scanning a bit differently files compared to previous builds due to changed internal rule sets. For some its faster, for others slower.

    Keep the reports coming in! :thumb:
