Something odd just happened. I executed HitmanPro 3.6 Build 157 BETA, and HMP downloaded a new version, but it downgraded to build 156? o_O Anyone else experienced the same?

This is normal behavior. You cannot run a Beta longer than 14 days. Then usually a final is released. But we are a bit behind schedule

You mean to save HitmanPro36beta.exe as NastyAM.exe, for example? I had renamed to HitmanPro.exe. (Just a FYI. :))

    I'll give it a try.

You have to name it with BETA in the filename.

I had reason to look for a password retrieval for Opera, recently. And I found one.

However, the latest HPM beta has reported it to be riskware. Since, I know what the detection is about, I have chosen to ignore. But, if I hadn't known, then that would be, different. ;)

    So kudos for HMP. :)

OK. I'll do that. But, that's odd. I always rename to HitmanPro.exe, and only recently it started to happen? o_O Could it be that it's because HitmanPro is now installed and not just an exe? Most likely...

  14. Hi,

I had HMP on Windows 7, but the trial expired. Last week I upgraded to Windows 8 RP (over the top install).

Would I be able to use HMP for removal, or I would need to purchase a license?

HitmanPro already repairs various policy settings, including the Task Manager policy (DisableTaskMgr). Are you referring to non-policy setting? We'll be more than happy to include it in the standard repair functions of HitmanPro.
