On my case, after Explorer crashed, things were back to normal in a couple of seconds. I did not have to reboot. Scanning with HMP 3.6 and right clicking on an item to scan worked fine.

I noticed the problem when I wanted to pin HMP on my Start menu. After that crash, I tried pinning something else and it also crashed.

Yes, Erik, I choose 'Delete' ;)

Yesterday, I roll backed my system with Rollback Rx. But anyway, I don't understand why HMP doesn't delete those files.

I think the problem is Rollback RX. Change your Disk Access Mode to Compatible under Settings > Advanced.

Erik - Does the VirusTotal scan option embeded in HMP only trigger when a suspicious file is found? It may be a nice feature to add to a right-click on a single file as I often upload a new download to VirusTotal to make sure it is clean.

You have to enable it under Settings > Advanced by specifying your VirusTotal API key.
Then the option will appear in the context menu at every file.

Yes did that. First I tried creating an account through HMP. It seemd to work but I never received the followup E-mail from VT to activate my account. Later in the day I tried again through HMP and was able to again register the same information and password I did earlier in the day so the account had apparently not been created. After the second attempt still no followup E-mail from VT. Finally I registered directly on VT's homepage and that worked, I was able to create an account. Got the E-mail from VT to complete my registration. Copied my public API key into HMP, however there has been no VT option on single right-click scans or default scans.

HitmanPro must list files and then the VirusTotal is available from the drop down menu at the end of the row (listed as Tools > VirusTotal).

I noticed on your first image that all the files were marked as ignore. Did you changed them to delete, if not they will be ignore.

    [EDIT]
You guys are fast. When I posted my reply to Ashanta's post his post was the last posting in this thread.

Erik any sales on Hitman Pro? Also how do you guys handled renewals? Do you offer a discount to existing customers? I'm interested in buying a 3-pack.

So it is only for files that HMP lists as malware or suspicious. The scan below does not have a VT option as there are no listed files?

Yes. The VirusTotal option is only available IN HitmanPro and not in Windows Explorer. Though its a nice suggestion for 3.6.1.

We currently do not have renewals. Pricing is the same as new users. The 3 pack is an attractive price (compared to 3 single licenses). Also you get HitmanPro free if you buy a bundle from OUR shop (scroll down on our shop).

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. But what do you mean you get Hitman Pro free? Is this free version different form the other free version I can download without buying a paid version?

Exactly what happens to me since they add the shell extension. I have to kill dr.watson from task manager to get my system back. Back to 3.5 for me too

Same here... when I try to copy a file from one folder to another, I get a hmpshext.dll crash. I recognized the file name and came here looking for reports of an issue.

I'll try disabling the Shell Integration as Erik suggested, to keep using 3.6.
Edit in: Yes, disabling it works fine and I can keep using 3.6. :thumb:

I started an on demand scan earlier today.

However, I got the following, which I don't want or need, and is now disabled.

If you don't need the scheduler then you can uncheck it on the Setup dialog. Also you can disable it under Settings > Scan.
