Sorry about this post! I thought this thread indicated HMPsupport also, obviously I am wrong. It's mainly publicity and advertising for HitmanPro, I guess! Guess my best solution is just uninstall and move on....

3.6 should solve the issue since we've fixed several issues with the NTFS parser. That has effect on the upload.

This IS a support thread as well.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for this quickly Beta release ! Nice surprise !!

Hope this will fix my issue.

By the way, maybe a few stupid questions:

Do I need to uninstall Hitman Pro 3.5.9 ?
What's happening with my current license ?

    Thanks in advance !

You should not uninstall 3.5.9 as 3.6 currently is just out as a Beta.
Your existing license will work on 3.6 just fine.

    Look at this Erik !

Hitmanpro process appears in startup, but in my case, no trace of hitmanpro icon on the system tray (under Vista32 bits). Yes, under 'Scan' all boxes are checked.

    1. Do you have UAC enabled?
    2. Is another account logged on (fast user switch)?
    3. Is it reproducible?

    for the third question:

I opened my Admin account with 2 log in and log out and these are the results :

first time: hitman pro icon appeared in the system tray
    second time: HMP didn't appeared.

I've just tried a few more extra times, and I can't tell you that's rare when HitmanPro appeared on the system tray. I also tried with my second admin account, with 3 log-in and log out, no HMP icon appeared on the system tray when starting.

Question 1: 'Scan at startup' does it work opening a User Account ?

Question 2: Under Explorer (explorer.exe), if I select more than 3 files with right-click mouse, 'Scan with HitmanPro' doesn't appear. It will be a nice feature for the next release to be able to choose for ie, more than 3 files for scanning with Hitmanpro.

Total BS in my opinion! Very sad excuse Erik! That's why over the years Avria, ESET and others have left as partners o_O

And what is your point ESET catches everything? No AV will catch 100% of everything so back to the topic J

    Erik,

Your link to the Fox-IT blog in reply 3644 is broken.

    It should be:

Have just run the 3.6 beta from a thumb drive on my WIN7 Pro 64-bit with no problems. Used early warning scoring and had one false positive from IKARUS, which I reported as safe. Scan time a little slower than 3.5 but still mighty fast!

Keep up the good work. :thumb:

    Hi hayc59

When I ran it earlier, as you can see from my screenshots, it did not install. ;)
