Well, I've got quite a few problems with various adware and spyware viruses, not sure which ones.

I ran Adaware and Spybot S&D, but on the Spybot S&D there's 33 problems it couldn't clean, even after I restarted.

    Here's my HijackThis Log:

    Hello StArShO_,

I am going to start by telling you that you Windows and IE are not up to date. Please go to Windows Update on your computer and update all critical files.

Next, run Hijackthis again and check these entries and then on Fix:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = file://C:\WINDOWS\System32/left.html
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {6E6DD93E-1FC3-4F43-8AFB-1B7B90C9D3EB}_ - (no file)

    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {6978914F-3D97-7F29-19AB-4B1990B424F1} - (no file)
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BDF6CE3D-F5C5-4462-9814-3C8EAC330CA8} - (no file)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TV Media] C:\Program Files\TV Media\Tvm.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

    O16 - DPF: {AB29A544-D6B4-4E36-A1F8-D3E34FC7B00A} - http://install.wildtangent.com/bgn/...lls/install.cab

Reboot the computer into safe mode

Make sure you can view all hidden files and folders

Find and delete these files/folders: (if you don't find them, that is ok)
    C:\Program Files\TV Media

Empty the recycle bin and reboot.

Run Hijackthis again and post a new log.

Well, I just did it. Thx to both of you, your aid has been indispensable.

First of all, the problems haven't all gone away. There's still the occasional popup--and it's not from websites, because I didn't have a browser open when it came up. The name was something azjump or something when the popup came up. I ran adaware and spybot S&D, and the spybot S&D still couldn't fix many of the problems. Without further ado, this is my log.

    Hello,

    Download Registrar Lite from here:
    http://www.resplendence.com/download/reglite.exe

Put it in its own folder. You may want to keep this program. It is an excellent free, registry editor.

Copy and paste the follow text into the address bar, then hit 'Go':
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks

In the pane on the right are the values associated with that key. We want to remove this one->{6E6DD93E-1FC3-4F43-8AFB-1B7B90C9D3EB}_ Notice the underscore at the end, It should be the first one.

Right click on it, and select delete.
If you get a confirmation question, respond OK then close out the program.

As far as Spybot, run it again. Check for Updates first, download ALL Updates and Do a Scan. When finished, make sure ALL RED items have been ticked, and click the "Fix Selected Problems" Button.

For Adaware, check for updates first and then I want you to check for these settings and adjust as needed:

Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

    - Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
Check: "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

    Press "Scan Now"

    - Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
    - Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
    - Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
    - Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives...
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys. Click 'Next' again
Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"

If it finds "bad" files and registry keys, press "Next" again
It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

    Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot.

Post a new log and let us know how things are going.

Well, it has gotten a bit better, but that same problems persist. Spybot still won't fix 28 or so problems, and Adaware won't remove 1 file. Popups are still coming up, just a bit less though. Thanks for all your help, and here's my new Hijack This Log.

    Hello,

Well, I am not seeing much in the log. Can you tell me the file that Adaware is telling you about? Maybe that will give us a clue. Maybe dave38 will pop in and see something I don't.

    Well,

    Let's see what this shows:

    Download this file from
    http://downloads.subratam.org/dllfix.exe

The file when downloaded will be dllfix.exe
Double-Click or Open the self-extracting file. It will ask for installation and change location. Please Keep it on the Desktop.

Navigate to the folder with the contents of the file. You will see there are two more folders inside and two BAT files.

    Run start.bat

Run the Option 1. for report.
Once the search is complete a ".txt" file should pop up with the name "Output.txt". Keep it and post it here.

    Scanning for main Hijacker:

Dllfix must have the Hijackerfiles in system32 to fix properly.
If there are no protocal keys text/html and text/plain
then dllfix may not work. This fix targets this type Hijack Entry.
that keeps reoccuring with different filenames.

    Hello,

Run the start.bat again. This time select option 2. Now select option 1. It will ask you to enter full name and hit enter, so here is the file name:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\IIMFIL~1.DLL <<<< Hit enter after typing this in.

Reboot. There will be a scan on reboot. When done follow the next steps:

Reboot and Download Adaware. Check for updates. Then Run the update Ad-aware.

Reboot and run HJT again and post a new log along with a new output.txt file (option 1 in start.bat ). I would also like you to post the logs.txt the fix generated (you will find it automatically being made and found in the dllfix folder).

Ok, thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. But this has just been the latest in a long list of problems with my computer, and finally, after much backing up, I've decided to simply format C. Thank you for your help Taz, and I hope that someone will help you as you've helped me. Peace out.
