    Re: HijackThis Log

    I followed instructions to one point and stopped.

    In Safe Mode, ...trying to delete contents in...
    C:\documents and settings\username\local settings\temp.

    I was able to delete all files except one. It would not delete, here is the path and file name.
    ...in the temp folder
    \Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\88X2NJOQ\
    file name is;

    1535173906@HeaderSpoon,PageSpon,PageSpon2,LocalAd,WXSpon,
    Explore1,Explore2,Explore3,Explore4,Explore5,Explore6,LocalSite1,LocalSite2,
    LocalSite3,LocalSite4,LocalSite5,LocalSite[1]

    Since this file would not delete, or any of the folders in the tree to it, I have stopped here on your instructions.

    Should I keep going and finish out the instructions you gave?

    Thanks YellowHammer!!!!

    Is it too much or not necessary to have my systray running SpywareGuard and WinPatrol. Are they effective? I came across them and downloaded them as a result of this forum.

    Or, ....am I better off not running them, and just running Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, Spyblaster, and HijackThis often?

    Thanks again!!

    I would run SpywareGuard. I don't think WinPatrol is necessary.
