ok.. i was on my computer surfing and all of a sudden my screen closed down.. and this scary ass background came up saying "YOU'RE IN DANGER" and norton said it found a virus and all these popups came up and i was like "EEKGADS!" and instead of start-shutdown - ing.. i just turned the damn thing off.. i waited a bit and turned it back on and saw a WEIRD screen.. never seen it before.. it was windows XP checking to see if my harddrive was ok.. it ran some tests and it said it deleted some stuff (this whole time im freaking out.. i thought it was deleting my harddrvie!) so then it restarts... and loads up fine. I run adaaware... and i get some normal tracker files and like.. 200+ "web page favorites" that are bad.. so i get rid of those.. then i ran spybot s+s.. and it found nothing.. then i ran CW Shredder... found nothing.. i haven't run norton yet but thats what im gonna do soon.. the only OBVIOUS thing i know thats still wrong is that everytime i load up IE.. i get a blue screen that says "WARNING!" and the IP is my C:/WINDOWS/secure ... now i'm pretty sure this is a rather common thing.. but i don't know how to get rid of it.. i ran Hijack this.. and got this stuff

    Hi BigMoSpot,

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html

    Then download and run CWShredder
Use the Fix button and follow the instructions provided by the program.

Reboot, run HijackThis again and post the new log.
Try not to get impatient. The people helping here are volunteers.

    Regards,

    Pieter

The only thing i would still question is when i first ran CWShredder after i delted the files from HJT it said i had to restart to get rid of a CWS problem in still in memroy.. so i did then ran CWshredder again and it didn't seem to say it fixed any CWS problem but restored some internet properties.. i don't think its an issue because the problem seemed to be fixed... also my computer begain to run slow after the spyware was infested but.. hopefully it will be running back to normal now.. again i apologize, and i thank you very much Pieter.

It's OK BigMoSpot. Sometimes we get swamped with this CWS cr@p and we have to figure out how to get rid of it first. That can take a while.

    Your log is clean now.
Please read How did this happen and can I prevent it?

    Regards,

    Pieter
