Hi it's me Arumot again. I hope this time I have taken care of all the steps. First I scanned with ad-aware then rebooted after which I saved a log from hijackthis which I am including.

My problem is everytime I open IE or go to a new page a weird "DRIP"
sound happens. It is very annoying and I have no idea what to do--please help

    Thanks

    Arumot

    Hi Arumot,

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

I did a search with google for "drip"+spyware. I found a reference similar to yours. The poster was running Pest Patrol and there is a wav as the default when cookies are blocked. It appears you are using PP also.
I am not familiar with the program, but there should be a method of either changing the default wav file, or changing it to "none".

    M2S :)
