We have seen the Android 11 roadmap of Nokia less than a couple of weeks ago but the post was quickly removed. We got a copy and shared the schedule but advised to take everything with a pinch of salt because there was no confirmation. Perhaps someone made the mistake of sharing too early or maybe the information needed changing.
Well, we have the answers now as Nokia Mobile once again posted the same image. That’s right, the schedule for Android 11 OS rollout is still the same.

Nokia Mobile has made a ‘Pure, Secure and Up-To-Date’ pledge to ensure any device is “safe and protected with the latest Android releases”. As listed before, the Nokia 2.2, Nokia 5.3, and Nokia 8.1 will get Android 11 later this year or ween Q4 2020 and Q1 2021. Other Nokia models like the Nokia 1.3, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 2.4, Nokia 2.3, and Nokia 3.4 will receive the same.

Android 11 has been out for for over three months now and like every year, we haven’t seen any sort of instant or mass adoption from phone makers in the industry. Outside of those initial updates to Google’s Pixel phones, the OnePlus 8 and 8T, and Samsung’s S20 and Note 20 lines, Android 11 needs to come to a lot of phones.

Motorola hasn’t updated a single phone to Android 11, but today they at least told us which phones should get updated to the latest version of Android. The list includes both Razr phones, both Edge phones, and a bunch of their One and G phones that no normal person could ever tell the difference between.

Samsung's Android 11-packed One UI 3.0 update has finally started rolling out earlier this month, with devices like the flagship Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Ultra the first to land this blockbuster upgrade. The release looks set to continue throughout 2020 with Samsung confirming that the Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 20 are all getting the changes in January.

Once downloaded the first thing you'll notice is a new look which should make things more appear less cluttered and easier on the eye.
Samsung says the design upgrades in One UI 3 have been created to bring more simplicity and elegance to the whole One UI experience.

December 18, 2020: According to SamMobile, Samsung has started rolling out Android 11 to the Galaxy S20 FE. This is great news considering that, according to the company’s timeline, the phone was initially planned to get the update in February. However, keep in mind the update is only available in Russia for now, but we expect it to reach other markets soon.

Now there's more good news about this upgrade. Owners of the Galaxy S20 FE weren't expected to get Android 11 until February, but reports are starting to surface which suggest things have actually started a little earlier.

Samsung-centric website SamMobile says some owners of the S20 FE have now begun seeing Android 11 appearing on their devices which could show that new features are arriving on these phones far earlier than first expected.

Admittedly, it seems this first release is only in Russia right now but it's sure to spread to more areas in the coming weeks and that will please owners of the S20 FE who surely felt a little miffed by with the news that they were originally receiving this One UI 3.0 upgrade so much later than the more premium S20 and S20 Ultra.

When Android 11 does arrive on devices there's certainly plenty to look forward to with Samsung recently revealing full details about this upgrade.

Update: December 25, 2020 (12 AM ET): Samsung is now rolling out the stable One UI 3.0 update to the Galaxy S20 FE globally. According to SamMobile, the company is pushing out the release for both the 4G and 5G variants of the phone.

The Android 11 build features firmware numbers G780FXXU1BTL1 and G781BXXU1BTL4 for the 4G and 5G models, respectively. The new software is reportedly already available in more than a dozen countries.
You can head over to your Galaxy S20 FE’s settings menu to check for the OTA update.
