    Win 10/64 bit, KIS 20, KIS icon was "RED" prompted for reboot. After reboot Thunderbird becomes non-responsive, & won't close from task mgr.
    ,
    Then FF would not respond, claimed already running, & won't close or start.

    Chrome was fine, now it works a little then becomes non responsive.

    Ran:

    MBAM paid
    EEK updated
    RogueKiller free
    KIS

    all found ZERO

    Also this machine. While in Thunderbird often times will prompt to update, stating it cannot update itself. DL new version install, which gives exact same version number. Then will prompt again about updating.

    If you are running two real time security products , I think the first thing to do is make MBAM on demand, reboot and see if things are better

    Both have been running together for quite some time no problem(s) and other machines as well. I'll try that. Thanks

    Since this problem started with KIS, requesting reboot. I thought worthy of a try, delete KIS. TEST.

    Used ctrl panel, & KIS failed to delete:

    1. How to stop KIS from loading on boot?
    2. Services set to "disabled" to prevent KIS from loading on boot
    3. Revo paid

    Since KIS won't uninstall via control panel for testing, defeat KIS & test.

    Thanks

    There is a known problem with Kaspersky patch "e" and Malwarebytes.

    @Krusty - You nailed it!

    KIS - would not complete uninstall, but rebooting gave "RED" tray icon. With red icon, machine back to normal. Now win 10 security, tray icon complains of (no av, don't ask me how kis was removed, but now not in tray). Crap KIS & MBAM played fine, for years now conflict.

    @Beyonder Good call thanks

    500+ days KIS license
    Lifetime MBAM

    What to do? Wait or abandon one?

    I've not seen a long happy relationship (KIS, MBAM, or other similar combo) be so destructive. Both deserve a nasty gram.

    Most likely a day or so peace btwn Russia & MBAM.

    Thanks
    Rico

    You can still run them together. I am running KSCF + MB Premium. I just disabled Ransomware Protection in Malwarebytes.
