Help to create a rule

    Hi Folks,

    I need some help to create a rule.
    I have one program to connect from home to see what is going on at my job.
    I'd like create a rule that allow only my computer at home to connect to other computer at office.
    I know that I can enter the mac address of my computer, but I don't know if my rule is ok.
    I want to allow only the port number 1999.

    Hi DonKid,

    Unfortunately, MAC address filtering only works when PC are on the same sub-network. If there is a router between the 2 PC (usual case when you are connecting your home PC to your office PC) you can't use MAC address.

    So the only solution is with IP address, if you know the IP address (or the IP sub-network) you are connecting to, when you connect your PC to your office PC.
