I have upgraded to build 859 of TI8. I have a backup image I created just prior to reorganizing my hard drives. I've reinstalled Windows XP SP2 on a SCSI disk as C: Now, I need to restore/overwrite that image with the one I did prior to the reorg.

When I either reboot using the build 859 Rescue Disk, or reboot with the program I've installed to the temporary image on the SCSI drive, I get:

    USB HC Takeover Failed!
Trying to vfree() nonexistent vm area
usb.c USB device not accepting new address=2 (error=-71)
usb.c USB device not accepting new address=3 (error=-71)

My computer is an nVidia GeForce4 Ultra based Gigabyte motherboard.

I need my TI8 image restored so I can get my computer back up and running. Please help!!!!

    Hello jblaty,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround and if it doesn't help please create sysinfo.txt file and send to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread (please see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the detailed instructions). We will certainly help you with the solution.

If you do not receive any response from Acronis Support Team within 48 hours please let me know your Acronis Request # which will be sent to you in autoreply.

    Thank you.

It appears that the "acpi=off noapic" workaround allowed me to get around the issue of the program accepting no input after loading. That allowed me to recover the drive.

However, I'm having another issue now, that I will post into a new tread.
