help please

    Hi I'm new here so not sure where to post this and i don't know loads about computers but i have just purchased a new computer loaded xp put on some software and now i keep getting a security alert saying windows has blocked this program it is
    Backweb-7288971 i think it is something to do with mu kodak camera can anyone enlighten me do i need to block this or allow it to be unblocked any replys much appreciated.

    Which program is reporting this, can can you post the full path of the problem found? (for example "C:\Program Files\Acme\Malware.exe", if you can take a screenshot of the alert, that would be even better)

    hi notok i it is an alert by windows it is just a small box that also says publisher unknown and just asks if i want windows to keep blocking it.

    I just pumped that into Google and the replies don't sound too enchanting

    so Block it.

    You may want to try running the free online scanners www.bitdefender.com and www.webroot.com if Spybot and Ad-Aware could not pick it up.

    daftun,

    I looked around a bit and the HJT logs show that thing as being

    a Kodak Software Updater so it's difficult to know if it's carrying something

    untoward.If the above did not pick anything up I would go to

    www.Sysinternals.com and D\L their Process Explorer for XP.

    See if it's using anything when you are not using it.
