Ok, I admit it's been a lot to swallow, the point is, if you take this serious, yes there is quite a bit to all of this, but no worries we can keep it simple, but you need to answer some questions for us...

1. Is this for personal use or business?

2. Who are you trying to stay private from, local threats, people snooping over your shoulders, logging on your computer when you are away, or it gets stolen, or are you trying to stay safe from the Big Guns; Law, Government, etc., or just safety on the internet?

1. What operating system are you using, Windows XP, Vista, 7...?

2. I'm assuming it's Windows since you didn't mention it.

3. Do you have a Router at home, also do you want a WiFi connection?
