    Hi,

When I boot up my computer, an error pops up stating that "C:\WINNT\system32\svohost.exe" is missing one of its components. Also, there is a "http.exe" progeam running on my machinie and i have no idea of how to erase it. I first tried putting on spysweeper and running it and Norton Antivirus. These two programs detected several viruses, which I deleted, but when I rebooted the computer, I would still have the same problems listed above. I suspect that there a couple of viruses are syware.

The second thing I tried was installing and running norton internet security, however every couple of days it sends a message stating that i have 2 remove and re-install the program. Also, for another strange reason i can not access the symantec web site even though i have a cable connection i can only do so while running AOL.
The latest thing I have tried is installing and running running HijackThis, as was suggested elsewhere on this site. Any help anyone can give me would be much appreciated. Thanks! Here is my log from HijackThis:

    Hello kabastone,

    Download Registrar Lite from here:
    http://www.resplendence.com/download/reglite.exe

Put it in its own folder. You may want to keep this program. It is an excellent free, registry editor.

Copy and paste the follow text into the address bar, then hit 'Go':
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks

In the pane on the right are the values associated with that key.
    We want to remove these:
    {CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}_
    {5D60FF48-95BE-4956-B4C6-6BB168A70310}_
    {4FC95EDD-4796-4966-9049-29649C80111D}_
Notice the underscore at the end, It should be the first one.

Right click on it, and select delete.
If you get a confirmation question, respond OK then close out the program.

Download CWShredder Click on update, then close all browsers, and then click on Fix, not scan.

Reboot and post a new log here. This is just a start, there will be more to do.

    Hello,

Run HJT again with all browsers closed and check these items and then on Fix:

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus...rch/search.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus...//www.yahoo.com

    Reboot

Go to this online virus scan:
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
Check the autofix button beside the scan button before you scan.

Let me know the results of the scan and post a new HJT log here.

    Hello,

Sorry I took so long to get back, I went away for the weekend and will be going away again tomarrow and will be gone till thursday.

I had you do that online scan hoping it would pick up that http.exe.
I believe it is a trojan.

I want you to do a Ctrl+Alt+Del and end that process: http.exe

I want you to try to unregister these dll's:
Click the Start button, and select Run
    Enter this command line:
    regsvr32 /u C:\WINNT\system32\600476963.dll
    regsvr32 /u C:\WINNT\system32\hello.dll

Then look for these dll's and files and delete if they exist:
    C:\WINNT\system32\http.exe
    600476963.dll
    hello.dll
    srnserv.exe

Reboot and let me know how that works and if the http.exe is gone.
