I don't know if this is still relevant but the problem with Heimdal was that at home protection level they still don't manage dns-over-quic and dns-over-https it's a pure jocking for a so-called Threat Prevention layer in 2023 ..
I hadn't heard about DNS over Quic. Thanks for bringing that up, I learned something today. Not sure if this has anything to do with the lack of these features in Heimdal, but Heimdal has definitely shifted toward an enterprise focus. I'm still getting their emails and most of their communications have to do with security for large organizations. But if you have a problem with the product, their technical support remains fast and superb.
