Heads up regarding Norton ConnectSafe (Norton DNS)

To all who is using Norton DNS, be aware that it currently breaks SkyDrive.

I am wondering why SkyDrive is not broken in my other computer unlike in my main one. Both have Bitdefender Antivirus installed but my main has Norton DNS. Disabling it, SkyDrive is now fine. I would have reported it but I'm too lazy.

 

Norton Safe Web has flagged hxxp://p.sfx.ms as malicious. BitDefender also according to URLVoid. This URL is accessed while opening a user's SkyDrive Live page and when blocked will prevent the page from loading correctly and making it inoperative. The use of that URL may or may not be global.

There have been several postings about this at answers dot microsoft dot com. Responses so far have been nada or scripted.

Ongoing for over two weeks, the issue could likely worsen as the blacklisting might migrate to other filtering Web apps and DNS services.
