Having Acronis and Partition Magic installed -
Partition Magic will show a HD as "Bad" because of the "Unknown Partition"
    that Acronis uses.
I guess, since Partition Magic didn't put it there, it assumes the partitioning
is messed up. Really had me going there for a while.

Since it is Partition Magic that is showing the "problem", you might want to
contact them for a fix or at least put something into your help file about it.

    Hello savagcl,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Could you tell what partition do Partition Magic see as "Unknown" one? Have you experienced any problems using Acronis True Image? If not we may advise that you contact Symantec support for help for we cannot support their products.

    Thank you.

i noticed this too but it isnt much a problem for acronis, more of a powerquest problem for not supporting or recognising the SECURE ZONE.

There were no problems with acronis. This was an info for you and anyone
else that may have a problem. I discovered it when installing a new hard drive.

When i ran partition magic to partition the new drive it showed the partition
(on the original disk where the secure zone was resident) as having bad
    partitioning.

    Just info.

    Hello savagcl,

Thank you for your notice. I am sure this information is very helpful for those who use both these programs.

    Thank you.
