    Hi
    i spend some hours to install ubuntu in the same hard disk with xp

    well my layout is

    c: -> xp
    d: -> data
    e: -> music
    f: ->unlocated space 100gb for ubuntu

    i would like to install ubuntu in the f: partition , without touching the mbr of xp

    may i install ubuntu in F: run xp , and use the xp boot.ini to boot with ubuntu

    well i found some tutorials , but outdated and really i get a bad headache
    http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_windows_xp_and_linux_xp_installed_first.htm?page=4 for example

    could you help and say how do it ? if i can?
    i would appreciate it a lot!

    thanks
    cheers
