new machine, tried to boot with the PE environment (HDM 2010)- "windows loading files", but seemed to lock for 5 minutes at that point, had to reboot (wanted to backup CLEAN drive before installing any software) had to instead install Paragon HDM 2010 and backup from with in windows. HOW to boot HP machine and do backup, Windows 7 home premium 64 bit, with SATA drive, with the PE boot disk

The HDM pe disc boots and loads in exactly the same way as windows vista.

Very strange. I assume you can't get a vista disc to load either?

i installed HDM 2010 to the machine, and created a boot disk.

THAT diskdid boot, and i had to use LOW GRAPHICS mode, but it worked, forpartitioning. I did NOT see where the BACKUP options were, but I will re-explore.

I will also re-try the PE version again, to see if it works
