ive already uninstalled it so i wont be able to reproduce my problem, but it seems to not be able to read any information from my drive, everything just stays blank even after manually refreshing. Im assuming this is because i have a 64gb mSATA caching drive as well thats confusing the program? might be something to look into

    OK, thanks !

Does your drive has anything special ?
Are they correctly detected by Speccy, CrystalDisk and other SMART diagnoctic tools ?

I have a 64gb MSATA Samsung PM830 SSD caching drive and a 750gb WD HDD for the main drive. i havent tried out those programs, but HWiNFO detects both drives fine.

I just tried the new version and it still is being somewhat alarmist about the state of my hard drive. Either that, or HDDScan is not doing a good job at reporting problem values.

I do have a brand new hard drive which I will install as soon as I have got round to cloning my current drive. Then my current drive is going into an old touchscreen laptop to test Windows 8.1 on, where it won't matter if it fails.

"Alarmist" behavior, espacially regarding seek/read error rates will be improved soon.

May i see a screenshot of your case ?

    You're welcome.

With regard to the flagged values, are they a cause for concern?

Not a good news... should be monitored for change (in order to anticipate degradation)
