    Several posts removed.

There was no need for anyone to start an argument like this, and certainly no reason to even use the word "liars" in the first place, whether calling someone else a liar, or accusing them of calling you liars. Leave all that elsewhere.

It appears that the main advice from Eset to partners is to give out 1-month NFR licenses for those customers who still want to evaluate v2.7, as this bypasses the contention issue on downloading updates.

For others who can not, there defintely seems to be limited update capacity for the old 2.7 trial version, which may not update properly. As Eset is moving from 2.7 to 3.0 support steadily now, I suspect most future trials really ought to be of 3.0 since it's unlikely Eset is going to turn backwards and make 2.7 their focus again.

No, there isn't. As long as you update from ESET's servers, you must use automatic server selection.

There is no reason for adding them manually. Automatic selection must be used unless you update from a local mirror created by Business Edition.

I haven't had my computer on for 2 weeks because I wasn't home.
Today I switched on and I find that NOD has trouble updating.

No matter which server I try, it doesn't download.
I'm currently on 3341 whereas the latest def file is 3380.
I'm a registered 2.7 user and so far I haven't had any update problems.

    What can I do?

Edit: It gets slightly worse. After checking all available update servers NOD now claims that no update is necessary - it's up-to-date!?
It keeps hanging on utilmod2.nup and update.ver

Btw, are 89.202.157.135 until 89.202.157.139 legit ESET update servers?
