Has anyone found a method to remove individual Chrome Components (chrome://components)?

    The question's in the title.

    Would be nice to find an elegant solution to removing some of Chrome's components.

    So far all the answers are along the lines of disabling Chrome's folder access to its own folders to prevent writing and updates to its own plugins. Not exactly the most effective way to do things.
