Ratchet, I haven't experienced any problems downloading or recovering files out of the sandbox after upgrading to Firefox 29. Before upgrading my computers, I created a new Firefox profile so I had to set Firefox again to download into one of my Quick recovery folders but I have not had to change any Sandboxie setting after the upgrade.

For testing, download something and after the download is completed, go to:

Sandboxie control>View>Files and folders, and search for the download in your Quick recovery folders. If you have Sandboxie set up correctly as you think you have, you should be able to see the download in there. If its not there, look around the other folders to see if you can find it.

Sandboxie prompts you about downloads when Recovery is set up as its supposed to, otherwise it does not. I also tested changing the name of a bookmark and after restarting Firefox, the bookmark was there and with the new name in place.

Thank you! I've restored to a two day old image and Sandboxie is recovering downloads but doesn't remember Cyberfox profile changes other than new bookmarks or deleting them. I can live with this!
I'm reasonably sure I can make everything about Cyberfox function like Firefox, I'm just not sure how to do it. I have Cyberfox listed in "Program Groups" but I believe I have to either create a sandbox just for Cyberfox or add it some place else in Sb.

Ratchet, you don't have to live with that. You mentioned "profile changes", if that means that you created a new CF profile and it is the one that you are using now, then all you have to do is, while using the new profile, set Cyberfox again to download into your Download folder (Options>General). And make sure that folder is also included in Sandboxies Quick recovery folder.

Bo, what I mean is that Quick Recovery is working normally again. That, and the ability to bookmark or delete bookmarks are the most important features to me. However, I still can't get Cyberfox to "retain" any changes if it's sandboxed. If I "Disable Forced Programs" I can change anything. Firefox 29 works 100% normally sandboxed.
Pale Moon and Waterfox are listed in Sb but not Cf, although I've included it in Program Groups with Firefox and those two x64 Ff variants. All I know is that when Cyberfox used Firefox's profile all was well but now, not so much, even though it's using most of the Ff profile. I'm sure there is a resolution via Cyberfox or Sandboxie!

Well I was wrong about it remembering bookmark changes! ugh!

I think we talk about this before. In Sandbox settings, you need to allow Direct file access to places.sqlite (file can be found inside Cyberfox profile folder).

Perhaps, before upgrade and new profile, you had allowed Direct file access to the entire Cyberfox profile folder. If you do that, many changes to the browser would be saved out of the sandbox after its deleted.

Thank you again! I'm going to work on it later! Also this: "
This might be due to the profile path changes made, The sandbox program might be looking for \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
It might work as a duel action by detecting the running process (Firefox.exe) and by looking for \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Previously in cyberfox before 28.0.1 when software looked for Firefox\Cyberfox even tho the process name was cyberfox.exe it returned (Firefox.exe) so programs seen cyberfox process as firefox
The new profile path system is \AppData\Roaming\8pecxstudios\Cyberfox\Profiles\ so it might still be looking for \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\"

Exactly. So now all you have to do is allow Direct File Access to file, places.sqlite, located inside 8pecxstudios\Cyberfox\Profiles\XXXXX, if all you want to save is bookmarks. But if you like to save bookmarks, history, cookies, session management, passwords, then allow access to the new profile folder that you can find inside 8pecxstudios\Cyberfox\Profiles\.:)
