Hard Disk Manager 2009 Professional Features

Does Hard Disk Manager 2009 Professional have all the features of both Drive Backup 9.0 Professional and Partition Manager 10 Professional? I ask mainly because of the release dates. PM 10 shows 03-19-2009 and HDM 2009 shows 11-22-2008. However, going by the features list, they seem pretty close. If some features are missing, what are they?

I'm also curious if this is a bundle of the separate programs (plus the additional ones) or if all the features are integrated into one program.

You are correct that Hard Disk Manager 2009 Professional includes everything that Drive Backup 9 Pro has, but not every thing Partition Manager 10 Pro has. Hard Disk Manager 2009 Professional (HDM) is a compilation of Drive Backup 9 Pro, Partition Manager 9 Pro, Total Defrag 2009, Drive Copy, and Disk Wiper.

The main differences between Partition Manager 10 and 9 is Windows 7 boot-corrector support, blu-ray, easy partition wizard, and Windows install OS wizard.

We're expecting to release Drive Backup 10 soon and following Hard Disk Manager 2010.

What would happen if you installed HDM 2009 and then PM 10? Would PM 10 replace the PM 9 components used by HDM or would it be considered a separate program? Or would it not even work due to compatibility issues?

Also, do you have an approximate release date or month on HDM 2010 or do you not provide that information (I'm not familiar with the "official" Paragon response/position on the subject)?

Will HDM 2010 support Ext4 partitions?

There are no compatibility issues installing Partition Manager 10 after installing Hard Disk Manager. Both programs would be considered different, and not combine the updated features. However, only one of the programs can be running at a time.

We also periodically update our current versions of products. Log into your Paragon Software account and go to "My Downloads" compare the installer version from your previous download to the current one. The updates typically include bug fixes, some added features, and compatibility (i.e. Windows 7).

The approximate release time frame for Hard Disk Manager 2010 is Q1 of 2010. We will be sure keep the forum updated with those release dates and feature sets as become available.
