Actually the greek group says in that message in greek, that they did not hacked the site to mess with the system or as a personal attack to the project or with the team that is responsible for it. They hacked the website to make a warning alert; Because of the expirement this web site (network place) will become very frequented by external visitors and they should be more responsible about their security. They provided some evidence from the site's database (login's and some emails) and they said that intentionally used asterisks in some letters of the email adresses to protect the privacy of those people.

The above message was not a threat to the site but a responce versus another group of the greek scene (GHS= Greek Hacking Scene).

All the message after the above line is like a article/response that the members of the greek scene became lazy .... and that the growing internet enviroment in greece banks, public and goverment sites do not even know what the word security means.

At the bottom they said that they closed a security hole that the site of Large Hadron Collider had.

Hard to get it the particles, not hard to aviod black holes

 

I suggest they should make a team that build up special hardware and a own operating system to avoid hacks. All mainstream hard and software is a welcome target for these baddies I wonder how long the world will need to realize that and to avoid control of all seeing eye.

These hackers are more then only hacker geeks in many cases we talk about a well organized mafia with huge money flow don´t underestimate this breed. I even would go that far that most parts of the internet are controlled by them.
They use so many kind of exploits you can´t imagine, they use stego, they hide info in pngs and gifs they exploit color space just to name a few extravagancies of their ocean of darkness. In this moment they could use all your systems as silent zombies and as irc chat communication flow with a kind of artificial intelligence as master control center to plan their new activities, messages hidden or attached in simple images on websides you surf and by http request smuggling circumventing all your firewalls and proxies with their static all seeing eye that means you surf a webside and their virus starts you stop they stop, you open your browser and their communication flow restarts. Gloopy like chewing gum and all-penetrating like water.
Don´t forget to say your security tools won´t take notice in several cases they are able to directly communicate with your hardware like ethernet, router or cpu, with stealth microcode they also spread on your dvds and usbs.

Yes but the past showed me that this paranoia is justified. I analyzed internet packets and http traffic for several months and it fits perfectly to what I stated. But for the normal user it is better to not take a look into this abysm, except if you are infinite curious.

This is just what we need. Hackers messing with a sensitive piece of equipment that could consume the earth with a black hole. I wonder what it would it would feel like if the earth was consumed, or if we would be able to feel anything at all.

If a black hole was created due to LHC, big enough to start consuming matter, at the point when it begins sucking materials off things around us, the gravity would be so high, you'd be long, long dead before it happened. So no worries. If the world goes PLOMP, you won't feel a thing.

IF they create a black hole, it will only be a few electrons across. It will only last for a minuscule amount of time, nano seconds maybe, then it will evaporate.

Someone has predicted that the LHC will produce a singularity, that it will take two captured singularities to be able to affect gravity for time travel, and to capture a singularity you need a Z-Machine (developed at Lawrence Livermore Labs).

IF they created a Black Hole, would they tell us right away?
They probably wouldn't announce that they were going to try and create one.
