Huh, they actually notify you when using Google with your account. Opt-out as usual, wonder how much good that does when the government that's supposed to regulate them turns out to be even more than a corrupt official.

For what it's worth. That setting in my account was not checked by default, making it an opt-in option; not opt-out.

doesn't fb already do this ?

Sometimes I see banners and adverts and see fb people registered on a website and am shocked sometimes I see someone I know with there name and face scrolling right past

I mentioned this to 1-2 of my mates and they were not bothered but one time they may realise paranoia while a bad thing can also be a very important good thing as in protecting your privacy is paramount in this world.

Advertising gurus are tapping in on the mindset of those internet users who do not cherish privacy at all. Mostly exhibitionists and inexperienced youth fall into this category. Their behavior has not gone unnoticed by marketing agencies as they have obviously seized upon it here. They will use any means at their disposal to make advertising 'about you', so as to personalize the experience. There is a phrase that the KGB was famous for using, 'useful idiot' and it applied to those who promoted the brand without knowing it. It worked remarkably well.

I would say Opt out as this could come back to bite you when you grow up.

I haven't signed up to use any Google services, and I never will.

The day that BS is required, I will stop using the internet.
