    Even advertisements by google are being shown in Japanese. Like I stated earlier this change by google cannot be based on IP address because I am in the USA.

    for some reason Google thinks you are in Japan. Did you clear/empty browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete)?

    Yes, there are probably close to 100 languages to choose from though.

    bamaman66, I assume that this is the FF search box you are talking about?

    If so, when you click on the Down Arrow, next to the Google Favicon, can you list all the search engines found there?

    Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. I do like the simple layout with a background added.
